Group zed company Vision33 Acquires Canadian Firm Encaptis Business Solutions to Deliver the SAP® Business One Application

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA December 19, 2013 – Vision33 (www.vision33.com), an SAP gold channel partner and member of the Group zed (www.gzed.com) family of companies, today announced that it has acquired Encaptis Business Solutions (Encaptis) www.encaptis.com, the multi-award winning company that received the award from SAP Canada as the top partner for SAP® Business One in 2013. The acquisition combines the strengths of Vision33 and Encaptis, leading resellers of the SAP® Business One application in the United States and Canada. Vision33’s expertise, global network and resources will now be combined with Encaptis’ Canadian expertise to deliver SAP Business One to business customers throughout North America.

Encaptis President Stephen Loyd and the Encaptis management team have built a successful Canadian operation over the last twenty years, with offices in Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto. Vision33 and Encaptis share a strong customer-oriented focus, and the combination of the companies’ national and local strengths will deliver a richer experience for both new and existing customers using SAP Business One. By bringing these two leading SAP partners together, Vision33 is able to further deliver on the promise of technology - providing industry-leading SAP software, unique insight and expertise, and world-class support to enable businesses to run better.

“By becoming part of Vision33, Encaptis is able to leverage Vision33’s experience and the strength of its reputation and performance in the U.S. as a leading SAP channel partner for SAP Business One,” stated Stephen Loyd, President of Encaptis Business Solutions. “Through the expertise of its Canadian parent and sister companies, Vision33 also brings a unique understanding of the Canadian market, especially the mid to large enterprise sector. The parallel between our two organizations and our synergy in collaborating to deploy projects on both sides of the border are further evidence of why this acquisition is the best fit for Encaptis and its employees.”

“By acquiring Encaptis, Vision33 achieves our goal of having a full North American footprint with teams and offices on both sides of the border for one unified presence,” said Alex Rooney, Vice President of Vision33’s U.S. operations. “In addition to team growth and increased expertise for our small to midsized enterprise customers, this acquisition also enables us to better meet the needs and aggressive timelines of our North American large enterprise clients running SAP software. This continues to be a market segment where we see significant growth, as large enterprises see the value of SAP Business One for rapid expansion into new international markets and subsidiary integration. We now have a full footprint of offices spread throughout North America to meet their needs and be there when they need us. It puts us on the map as one of the largest global resellers of SAP Business One,” comments Rooney.

“Vision33 continues to show long-term commitment to providing the SAP Business One application and services to businesses throughout the U.S. and Canada,” stated Annie Neubrech, Vice President, U.S. partner management and program teams at SAP. “By acquiring Encaptis, Vision33 will further leverage resource talent, market knowledge and dedicated product expertise to help transform emerging companies and subsidiaries of large enterprises, helping them realize the value that SAP Business One has already delivered to more than 40,000 companies worldwide.”

As part of the acquisition, Encaptis and its Canadian team of employees will now operate under the Vision33 brand. Encaptis President Stephen Loyd will join the Group zed executive team as Vice President of Vision33’s Canadian operations. To support Vision33’s continued focus and strategy to deliver SAP solutions to small and midsized enterprises in various industries, Encaptis’ Microsoft AX practice will be acquired by Vision33’s sister company under the Group zed (www.gzed.com) family, zedIT Solutions (www.zedit.com), a leading IT professional services consultancy headquartered in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

Group zed is a privately owned and operated holding company that holds a firm belief and commitment in the promise of technology and what it can deliver to businesses. Its world-class portfolio includes companies like Vision33 that are specialists in what they do and in how they deliver on that promise. Tony Whalen, CEO of Group zed stated, “This transformational acquisition provides an unprecedented opportunity to serve small to large enterprise customers across a host of geographies in both developed and emerging markets throughout North America.”

“We have watched Encaptis’ successful transformation into a major Canadian player in the ERP and IT industry, and have a great deal of respect for the organization”, continued Mr. Whalen. “Together – Vision33 and Encaptis have no geographic overlap and significant opportunities for growth. Encaptis shares the same level of commitment to growth, quality service and in providing real value to customers that is core to the Group zed family of companies. We look forward to working together to drive continued growth in the ERP software industry where new markets and an expanded footprint will help ensure long-term success.”

Bringing together two ERP industry leaders with complementary market strategies and product offerings, this acqusition will ultimately benefit all Encaptis customers and stakeholders. Vision33’s industry leading support program, TOTAL Care is one of the company’s unique advantages. Understanding that customers need the continued support of a partner well beyond the ERP implementation phase, Vision33’s TOTAL Care program focuses on empowering and enabling users to make the most of their SAP Business One investment. From email and phone support to weekly web chats, user group events and training, Vision33’s TOTAL Care program brings customers together and provides every opportunity for customers to continuously learn more about what SAP Business One can do for their business.

“We are excited to bring the TOTAL Care program and Vision33’s team of dedicated Consultants and Support resources to the Encaptis customer base,” commented Stephen Loyd. “Vision33’s world-class support program helps customers extend the value of SAP Business One.
