eCommerce transformation for La Marzocco with WooCommerce-SAP business one integration

Founded in 1927 in Florence, Italy, La Marzocco’s espresso machines are crafted with exquisite attention to detail. In 1979, subsidiary La Marzocco USA began distributing espresso machines throughout the United States from its headquarters in Seattle, WA.

La Marzocco USA sells commercial espresso machines and a line of home machines, with testing, fulfillment, and packaging done in the Seattle facility. A La Marzocco Home website is dedicated to the home market and offers 110-volt machines that operate like the 220-volt machines cafes use.

A Problem Was Brewing

La Marzocco USA streamlined its operations in 2011 by implementing SAP Business One, a powerful enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. However, when the pandemic hit and order volume skyrocketed, sales success became an operational nightmare.

A full-time employee dedicated their days solely to manually entering orders from the company’s WooCommerce website into SAP Business One, which required transforming it into different formats. La Marzocco USA needed an integration solution to connect its systems and eliminate repetitive data entry.

The Solution

Enter The Saltbox Platform, a born-in-the-cloud integration platform as a service (iPaaS) developed by Vision33. Saltbox seamlessly connected La Marzocco USA’s WooCommerce site to SAP Business One, and the company can now transfer data at lightning speed. Saltbox also automatically converts WooCommerce data into SAP Business One’s format, eliminating human error.

The Result

With fully automated eCommerce operations, La Marzocco USA’s employees can dedicate more time to customer service. And by further leveraging Saltbox to integrate SAP Business One with ShipStation, fulfillment is flowing better than ever.
